Inside Sales Specialist

The Inside Sales Specialist will support existing customers with product selections and generate new sales by actively pursuing leads generated through the Customer Relationship Management System for both Rockford Ball Screw and Rockford Linear Motion.

Essential Functions:

1. Manage new and existing customer projects and attend APQP meetings to ensure they are executed and are on time.
2. Actively utilize internal the Material Resource Planning system to forecast customer demand and contribute to SIOP meetings.
3. Ensures customer satisfaction through ongoing post-sale communication and relationship management; resolves any issues that may arise post-sale.
4. Maintains communication with existing and previous customers through webinars, alerting them of new products, services, and enhancements that may be of interest.
5. Maintain existing and prospective customer databases by actively utilizing the Customer Relationship Management system.
6. Generate customer quotes, proposals and manage opportunities in CRM.
7. Identify prospective customers by managing and qualifying new leads and/or following up with inbound and outbound leads.
8. Answer sales calls and provide technical support to customer base.
9. Research new potential customers with outbound cold calls and emails.
10. Serve as internal sales support for outside field sales by assigned territory locations.
11. Analyze existing customer account data for quarterly account reviews.
12. Obtain and Monitor Blanket Orders
13. Work with engineering, manufacturing, supply chain and scheduling departments
14. Travel as needed and or annually to visit large key accounts (5 % travel).
15. Train new employees in areas of customer service, sales department process and policies.
16. Any/all other duties as assigned.

Work Environment and Physical Demands: Working conditions are normal for a manufacturing/office environment. Must be able to operate a computer/keyboard, ability to use phone, and sit for extended periods of time. Communicate using speech, hearing, written, and vision skills. May also work occasionally on the production floor requiring the use of safety equipment to include, but not limited to- safety glasses, hearing protection, and steel toed work boots or shoes.

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work: This is a full-time position. The standard working hours for exempt employees are set at 45 hours per week with an additional 30-minute lunch break every day. General business hours are 6:30 am- 5:00 pm. this position follows a specific work schedule of Monday through Friday, 7:00 am- 4:30 pm. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required to meet business demands.

Compensation: Our current hiring pay range for this position is $65,000- $85,000. This hiring pay range is based on several factors which vary based on position. These include labor markets and, in some instances, may include education, work experience, knowledge, skills and certifications.

In addition to base pay, Rockford Ball Screw employees are eligible to participate in either a bonus or commission program. Eligibility and program type are determined by position and tier within the plan. Currently, this position falls under the commission program and is classified within the Inside Sales Specialist tier.

Requirements:

Required Education and Experience:

1. Must be 18 years or older.
2. Associate degree or equivalent skills and experience required.

Preferred Education and Experience:

1. 3 years of sales experience with direct account management
2. Knowledge of CRM software.
3. Experience with computer programs including, ERP systems (such as MAPICS) and Microsoft Office suite.
4. Basic principles of negotiating.
