Driver-Non CDL/CMV

Job Title

Responsible for loading, transporting, and delivering materials to customers. This is a non-CDL driver position operating vehicles of 26,000 pounds or less GVWR. Load and secure products, materials, and supplies within the delivery vehicle. Deliver customer orders to delivery sites and unload the material safely and accurately, taking precautions to protect the product and customer property. Requires the use of a handheld device, except while driving, to ensure compliance with DVIR and HOS. Verify order details and maintain a log of shipments, including quantities and/or weights, mileage, and delivery locations. Verify items against the invoice to ensure order accuracy. Act as an intermediary with the customer service department. Handle customer concerns and help resolve issues as they arise. Maintain a log of services and pre- or post-trip inspections.

Requirements: High school diploma or GED, over 21 years old, and a valid driver's license. Previous shipping experience, preferably with construction materials and delivery equipment. Must pass an MVR report and obtain DOT medical certification. Forklift certification. Knowledge of safety procedures while driving and handling materials. Good verbal and written communication skills. Ability to read and understand maps, routes, and traffic signs. Excellent customer service skills. Ability to apply common sense understanding how to perform a route assignment. Knowledge of basic math and measurement skills.
