Job Description
Exciting Opportunity for an ICU RN - Join a Premier Healthcare Team!

Job Description:


- Shift: 19:00-07:00
- Location: North Charleston, SC
- Unit: Mixed ICU with 28 Beds
- Patient Ratios: 1:2, 1:3 (holding inpatient PCU/med surg admissions)
- Unit Staffing Description: RNs
- Type of Equipment:
- Mobile phones for each care team member
- Mobile computer workstation on wheels
- Documentation System: Meditech
- Scheduling Requirements:
- 3 - 12 hour shifts per week
- Every other weekend and holidays in rotation with hospital employees
- Floating Policy: Travelers are the first to float; potential for floating to emergency department or PCU for patient care.
- Patient Experience Requirements: Bedside shift report for every patient during care transition.
- Certifications Required: BLS, ACLS, NIH Stroke Scale
- Hiring Profile:
- 36 months RN experience, with at least 1 year in an ICU
- One previous successful travel nursing assignment preferred in a Meditech facility
- Ability to manage 1-3 ICU patients, including those on ventilators
- Proficient in reading telemetry strips
- Advanced Skills Needed:
- CRRT
- Advanced Hemodynamics
- Phlebotomy
- Procedures Performed on Unit:
- Post-op day 0 CABG (fresh heart from OR)
- Impellas, balloon pumps, Swan Ganz
- Neuro procedures for aneurysmal subarachnoid hemorrhage
- Experience with EVDs, bolts (Codman), and Arctic Sun for induced hypothermia
- Preferred Qualifications:
- BSN
- Advanced Certifications
- TNCC Certification

Dress Code: Navy uniform
