And you’ll experience an inclusive culture that welcomes bold ideas and empowers you to own them to completion.What you will do: As a Senior Software Development Engineer on the AWS Hardware Engineering team, you will architect and scale an AI-powered design validation platform that automates schematic review, PCB layout analysis, and system-level design verification for next-generation AWS server hardware.You will own the design intelligence pipeline combining deterministic rule engines with multi-agent generative AI to validate board schematics and layouts - motherboards, PCIe boards, power boards, and system boards, against operational readiness standards and historical failure data, reducing design review cycles from two weeks to two days. Specialized AI agents validate AC-coupling, reset timing, power sequencing, signal integrity, and cross-board I2C conflicts before tape-out.You will extend the platform to ingest complete design packages (schematics, block diagrams, BOMs, cable drawings) and derive test plans, coverage gaps, and risk flags that feed directly into manufacturing quality gates. You will architect the component knowledge base for AI cross-referencing against vendor datasheets, build engineering workflow integrations, and drive adoption across all hardware programs, eliminating design escapes, reducing board respins, and accelerating time-to-production for AWS custom silicon platforms. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
