This position is a unique opportunity to advance a career at a top-tier school and further develop and acquire new skills, including basic building repairs, light mechanical work, and fitness equipment repairs.Key Job Responsibilities:Receives, inspects, inventories, and distributes deliveries to appropriate entities under general supervisionTroubleshoots, escalates, and documents issues according to established policies and proceduresPerforms routine facility inspections and monitors cleanlinessUtilizes equipment to repair and maintain standard machinery, equipment, and facility property to prevent further damage and ensure optimal operationAssists trades, crafts, vendors, and technical staff with construction, design, and operational maintenance as neededDepartment: Bakke Recreation & Wellbeing Center Facility ServicesCompensation: Minimum $23.00 Hourly The minimum hourly wage for this position is $23.00/hour. The expected actual hourly wage for this position ranges from $24.00 to $26.00 depending on experience and qualifications. This position offers a comprehensive benefits package, including generous paid time off, competitively priced health/dental/vision/life insurance, tax-advantaged savings accounts, and participation in the nationally recognized Wisconsin Retirement System (WRS) pension fund.Qualifications:At least 3 years of relative experienceAbility to independently perform fitness equipment repair or mechanical/electrical diagnostics and repairIndependently perform skilled repair and maintenance tasks such as light carpentry, painting, fixture and furniture installation, and general facilities upkeepIndependently troubleshoots, escalates, and documents issues according to established policies and proceduresIndependently receives, inspects, inventories, and distributes deliveries to appropriate entitiesAssists trades, crafts, vendors, and technical staff with construction, design, and operational maintenance as neededIndependently performs basic and routine computer related tasks dailyProperly troubleshoot equipment and facility issues without oversightAdditional Details:Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM (flexible based on operational needs). On an occasional basis, exercise flexibility to work evening or weekend hours.Work Location: Bakke Recreation & Wellbeing CenterPhysical Demands: Candidates must be able to work in a variety of weather conditions, regularly lift up to 50 lbs. and occasionally up to 100 lbs., and stand for extended periods of time.Education: H.S.
