Associate Actuary

Become a part of our caring community The Associate Actuary, Analytics/Forecasting analyzes and forecasts financial, economic, and other data to provide accurate and timely information for strategic and operational decisions. Establishes metrics, provides data analyses, and works directly to support business intelligence. Evaluates industry, economic, financial, and market trends to forecast the organization's short, medium and long-term financial and competitive position. The Associate Actuary will report to the Actuarial Analytics/Forecasting Principal. Typical responsibilities for this role include, but not limited to: Working with Market Team and Finance Team to develop financial models Validating and reviewing current processes for accuracy and completeness Understanding Risk Arrangement contracts and modeling their financial impact Use your skills to make an impact Required Qualifications Bachelor's Degree Associate of Society of Actuaries (ASA) designation or Fellow of the Society of Actuaries (FSA) designation MAAA 5 years minimum in the actuarial field (any specialty) Preferred Qualifications Established communication skills Experience with actuarial modeling Experience with SAS or SQL Server Management Studio Experience with risk arrangements Medicare/Medicare Advantage experience Additional Information Willing to travel for large group meetings etc. (potentially a few times a year). This is a remote position. Travel: While this is a remote position, occasional travel to Humana's offices for training or meetings may be required. Scheduled Weekly Hours 40 Pay Range The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual pay will vary based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc. $106,900 - $147,000 per year This job is eligible for a bonus incentive plan. This incentive opportunity is based upon company and/or individual performance.
