Shift: 3x12 Nights | 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM

Unit Details

• ICU Float Pool Assignment
• Travelers will float to Med/Tele units as needed
• ICU units range from 10–20 beds
• Ratios:
  • ICU: 1:1–1:2
  • PCU: 1:3–1:4
• Busy, team-oriented environment

• 637 Licensed Beds
• Level 1 Trauma Center
• Teaching Hospital
• Chest Pain Center
• Stroke Center

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years ICU RN experience required
• First-time travelers accepted
• BLS & ACLS required
• CCRN preferred
• Must pass EKG competency exam during onboarding

Required Skills

• Trach care
• Chest tube management
• PIV starts
• Glucometer use
• Management of:
  • Insulin drips
  • Heparin drips
  • Vasopressors
  • Sedation drips
  • Cardiac drips
  • Paralytics

EMR & Equipment

• EMR: Epic
• IV Pumps: Alaris
• Med Dispensing: Pyxis
• Monitors: Phillips

Scheduling & Orientation

• 1 Day Hospital Orientation
• 2 Days Department Orientation
• Weekend Requirement: 5–6 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule
• No Call Required
• Holiday Rotation Required
• Schedule Cycle: Every 6 Weeks
