Job Details Setting: Outpatient Surgery Center / Ambulatory OR Location: Abilene, Texas 79606 — a welcoming West Texas community with a friendly atmosphere and convenient local amenities. Assignment Length: 13 weeks Start Date: September 8, 2026 Shift: Day shift, 8 hours (06:30 AM - 3:00 PM) Shifts Per Week: 5 Weekly Hours: 40 Schedule: Monday - Friday Call: No call Weekends/Holidays: No weekends or holidays Orientation: 40 hours Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,350 - $2,470 Job Requirements Active Registered Nurse (RN) license required and must be in hand at time of submission Minimum of 2 years of experience in the service line required ACLS, BLS, and PALS certification required Experience in outpatient surgery, ambulatory surgery, OR nursing, or perioperative care strongly preferred Altera charting experience preferred, but not required Strong clinical judgment and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced surgical environment Travel RN experience preferred Responsibilities Provide safe, high-quality nursing care for patients undergoing outpatient surgical procedures Support pre-op, intra-op, and post-op patient flow as needed Assist with a variety of procedures, including ambulatory OR and specialty surgical cases Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia, and the perioperative team to ensure efficient patient care Monitor patient status, document care accurately, and respond appropriately to clinical needs Maintain a professional, patient-focused approach in a busy outpatient surgery center Why Consider This Texas Nursing Job?
