Summary The Low Voltage Data Technician is responsible for managing low voltage systems, including alarm systems, telecommunications, audio/visual setups, access control, and automation devices. Their duties involve reading blueprints, installing wiring and equipment, troubleshooting system issues, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations. Work Hours Monday to Friday from 08:00 AM to 05:00 PM, 2 Saturday(s) a month from 08:00 AM to 12:00 PM Seniority Level Entry Level Employment Type Full-time Compensation This hourly, non-exempt position pays from $22 to $25 per hour, with overtime compensated at 1.5 times the base rate. New hires usually earn between $55,000 and $71,800 annually, or more, depending on experience, overtime hours, and bonuses. Responsibilities Installing, servicing and integrating a variety of low voltage systems to include Intrusion Alarms, Video Surveillance, Card Access, Telephone Systems, Data Networks and more. Ability to answer basic customer inquiries after training by MSI. Ability to travel domestically to other MSI locations with expenses paid by the company. Manage updates to MSI systems. Perform additional duties as required or requested. Education & Experience 1 year of Low Voltage Data Technician experience. High School Education or equivalent required. Comfortable traveling within the US for 10 to 15 weeks per year. Ability to use a computer or tablet is a plus. Good communication and organizational skills. Ability to follow instructions and work under pressure. Ability to lift up to 70 lbs.
