Job Details Location: ALPHARETTA, GA 30009 Position Type: Full Time Position Summary: The housekeeper will maintain the appearance of the community for the comfort and use of residents, family members, visitors, and employees. The housekeeper will clean common areas and residents’ apartments according to schedule and maintain a healthy and attractive environment. Primary Responsibilities Housekeeping Services Clean all common areas, including guest restrooms according to schedule. Includes: Vacuuming all carpeted areas Dusting all furniture, common area items, handrails, and hanging pictures Cleaning glass surfaces Cleaning doors, doorways, and walls of fingerprints or other dirt Vacuuming upholstery furniture according to schedule Cleaning and disinfecting common areas and public bathrooms Mopping common areas and bathrooms floors Cleaning and disinfecting soiled utility bins according to schedule Cleaning and organizing laundry areas and storage closets according to schedule Clean residents’ rooms/apartments according to schedule. Includes: Vacuuming carpeted areas Dusting furniture Cleaning and disinfecting bathroom Respond to resident emergencies following proper policy and procedure. Offer choice, maintain dignity, and promote individuality for all residents. Provide quality service to residents in accordance with Oaks Senior Living philosophy of Person Centered Lifestyle and in accordance with resident rights. Maintain confidentiality of residents. Obtain 24 hours of continuing education in initial year of employment and 16 hours annually thereafter. Maintain CPR & First Aid certification. Report supply needs to Maintenance Director. Carry out other duties as assigned. Regulatory Compliance and Sanitation Practice infection control policies and established safety precautions. Ensure that the housekeeping cart is locked and secured and other supplies are in a safe area as to prevent any injuries to residents, employees, or visitors. Keep closet clean and organized. Ensure that hazardous cleaning products are properly stored, locked and labeled. Report hazardous conditions and equipment to the Executive Director. Properly dispose of soiled clothing or linens in accordance with infection control standards. Report changes in residents’ condition and emergency situations to the Shift Supervisor. Communications Attend all regular staff meetings and required in-service training sessions. Must communicate effectively to convey information to residents, Shift Supervisor, and Management. Review daily any and all communication tools used in providing resident care. Communicate residents’ needs with Executive Director. Notify your supervisor or the Wellness Director if you observe a change in a resident’s condition. Respond to on-the-job injuries in accordance with the community’s policies and procedures. Notify your supervisor of any concerns or questions presented by the residents’ family members. Reports to Maintenance Director Qualifications Minimum of one year housekeeping experience preferred. Ability to read, write, and speak English. Desire to work with older adults. Friendly, caring disposition. Must be 18 years of age, have a satisfactory criminal history check. Must have physical exam by a licensed physician and a negative drug screen. Must understand the risk of exposure to infectious waste, disease, chemicals, solutions, and disinfectants. Must be able to react in an emergency situation. Physical Job Requirements Stand/walk up to eight hours a day. Sit up to two hours a day. Frequently support up to 75 pounds. Occasionally lift/carry up to 50 pounds. Frequently kneel, bend, and reach. Secure proper assistance for transferring of residents as needed. #J-18808-Ljbffr
