Quick Facts Location: Portland, Oregon Start Date: Immediate or upon interview Duration: Permanent Shift: 12-hour or 24-hour shifts (day or overnight) Hours/Week: 36-40 hours Employment Type: Full-time Licenses/Certifications: Neonatal NP or PA with completion of a 12-month Neonatal PA fellowship; OR license eligibility for Oregon Experience: Neonatal ICU experience preferred, delivery room experience highly desirable Pay & Benefits Pay rate: $1.00/hour (details discussed upon application) Benefits: Pay package discussed upon application Health, dental, vision insurance Retirement plan options Paid time off and holidays Supportive team environment What You’ll Do Provide clinical management for high-risk neonates and infants in Level III NICUs Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including physicians, nurses, and support staff Perform and interpret diagnostic tests and procedures Attend deliveries, assisting with procedures and providing bedside care Educate families about neonatal health and ongoing care needs Exercise autonomy of practice within a collaborative hospital setting What You Need Required: Neonatal Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant license or eligibility in Oregon Completion of a 12-month Neonatal PA fellowship or residency Experience with neonatal patient care, preferably in Level III NICUs Ability to work 12 or 24-hour hospital shifts Preferred: Proven experience in delivery room procedures Strong teamwork and communication skills About the Assignment Join a dedicated team providing high-value, family-centered neonatal care at two prominent Portland hospitals. Covering high patient volumes—about 3,000 deliveries at St. Vincent and 4,500 at Providence Portland Medical Center—your expertise will directly influence positive outcomes for vulnerable neonates. Both hospitals feature Level III NICUs with comprehensive maternal-fetal medicine and OB hospitalist support.
