A Party Planning Warehouse Associate plays a crucial role in the successful execution of events by ensuring that furniture, decorations, and other party essentials are well-organized, maintained, and transported efficiently. This role involves handling various tasks related to loading, unloading, setting up, and dismantling event equipment, including removable flooring. Location: Long Island City, Queens Pay: $17.00/hr. + OT Must Work Sundays If Needed Without Refusal Shift Details: PM Shift - 5:00 PM until completion

Key Responsibilities:

1. Loading and Unloading:
   • Efficiently load and unload furniture, decorations, and equipment from delivery trucks.
   • Use appropriate tools and techniques to handle heavy and fragile items safely.
   • Verify the accuracy of items being loaded and unloaded against inventory lists and event orders.
2. Inventory Management:
   • Track inventory levels of furniture, decorations, and other supplies.
   • Perform regular inventory checks and report discrepancies to the warehouse manager.
   • Ensure that all items are properly labeled and stored in designated areas.
3. Furniture Handling:
   • Assemble and disassemble various types of event furniture, including tables, chairs, and stages.
   • Conduct routine inspections of furniture to ensure it is in good condition and ready for use.
   • Perform minor repairs and maintenance on furniture as needed.
4. Decorations Management:
   • Carefully pack, unpack, and store decorations to prevent damage.
   • Assist in the preparation and arrangement of decorations according to event specifications.
   • Coordinate with the decorating team to ensure timely and accurate delivery of items to event sites.
5. Removable Flooring:
   • Install and dismantle removable flooring at event sites.
   • Ensure flooring is securely fitted and meets safety standards.
   • Clean and maintain flooring materials to extend their usability.
6. Site Preparation and Setup:
   • Assist in the layout and setup of event sites, following specific plans and instructions.
   • Work collaboratively with event planners and other team members to create visually appealing and functional event spaces.
   • Ensure all items are set up correctly and in a timely manner.
7. Health and Safety:
   • Adhere to all health and safety regulations in the warehouse and at event sites.
   • Use personal protective equipment (PPE) and follow safe lifting techniques.
   • Maintain a clean and organized warehouse environment to minimize hazards.
8. Customer Interaction:
   • Provide excellent customer service when interacting with clients during deliveries and pickups.
   • Address client concerns and questions professionally and promptly.
   • Assist with on-site problem-solving to ensure client satisfaction.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience in a warehouse or event setup role is preferred.
• Ability to lift heavy items and perform physically demanding tasks.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Basic knowledge of inventory management systems.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Flexibility to work irregular hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as required by event schedules.
• Valid driver's license and ability to operate warehouse equipment (e.g., forklifts) is a plus.
