Position Summary The Professional Development Program Specialist is responsible for receiving, entering, and processing program documentation; determining participant eligibility; providing support and guidance to Professional Development Program participants; and communicating with participants as needed. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, comfortable following established processes, and committed to accuracy and excellent customer service. This position requires the ability to manage documentation, maintain accurate records, and communicate effectively with program participants. What\'s in It for You? Review documentation for completeness and accuracy and resolve documentation issues as needed. Communicate and correspond with Professional Development Program participants regarding program requirements, documentation, and eligibility. Maintain accurate and timely case notes and participant records. Determine coursework eligibility in accordance with established program requirements and processes. Meet established department standards for accuracy and productivity. Maintain confidentiality of participant and program information. Perform other job-related duties as assigned. Education and/or Experience Candidates must meet one of the following: Completion of four years of high school or equivalent, plus completion of two years of college or graduation from a two-year technical college with an associate degree ; OR More than 3 months and up to and including 12 months of relevant experience. Equipment and Software Required Ability to effectively use computer equipment, telephone, mail machine, printer, copier, fax, Microsoft Office applications (including Outlook), and other specialty software necessary to perform the essential functions of the position. Language Skills Must be able to speak, read, and write English fluently. Additional language skills are a plus.
