Job Description

As a Security Officer Armed Patrol Driver Coverage in Laurinburg, NC , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Security Officer at a government correctional location, you will conduct routine patrols and drive as needed, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and report security-related concerns. You will provide professional customer service and clear communication while supporting operations through teamwork, integrity, and Allied Universal’s agile, reliable, innovative, and caring culture.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, staff, visitors, and individuals in custody by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of assigned facilities, housing areas, grounds, access points, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, medical emergencies, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established protocols and reporting requirements.
• Monitor access to restricted areas, verify credentials as assigned, and document observations, incidents, and patrol activity in accordance with site procedures.
• Maintain proficiency with assigned equipment and follow all applicable laws, regulations, post orders, and Allied Universal policies for armed patrol assignments.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 21 years of age.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• A valid firearms permit is preferred.
• An armed guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
