Critical Care Transport

This position is full time with benefits eligible. The pay range is $33.05 - $49.60. Sign-on bonus of $20,000 is available if eligibility requirements are met. Relocation assistance up to $8,000 is provided for qualified candidates. The location is Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center in Winston-Salem, NC, with a full-time night shift schedule.

Education/Experience: Graduate of an AMA approved program for respiratory care or meets NBRC requirements. Two years as a Registered Respiratory Therapist with two years of clinical experience in critical care (neonatal/pediatric preferred).

Licensure/Certification: Maintain competency assessments. Required: Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT), BCLS, NRP, PALS, ACLS, ITLS or Pediatric ITLS. Preferred: AARC Certification as Neonatal Pediatric Specialist (NPS).

Essential Functions: Adhere to hospital standards, meet patient care standards, promote a safe environment during transport, provide respiratory therapies, complete documentation, provide educational enhancement, ensure age-appropriate care, attend required meetings.

Skills/Qualifications: Strong communication skills, ability to provide direct and indirect respiratory care, ability to perform multiple tasks under stress, contact with various staff to promote a positive image, involvement in the respiratory care profession, ability to demonstrate advanced practice skills.
