The clinic is designed to support effective, patient-centered therapy, with contemporary equipment and a layout that encourages efficient patient flow and collaborative care. You will be part of a multidisciplinary team committed to evidence-based practice, continuous improvement, and a supportive work culture where professional growth is encouraged.As a Physical Therapist Assistant, you will provide direct patient care under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist. A typical day may include assisting with initial functional assessments, implementing individualized treatment plans, guiding patients through therapeutic exercises, providing instruction on home exercise programs, and monitoring progress toward functional goals. You will perform treatments that may include therapeutic exercise, neuromuscular re-education, balance and gait training, manual techniques within the PTA scope, and the appropriate use of modalities. Documentation will be completed in an electronic medical record system in a timely and accurate manner.Patient caseloads generally include adults and older adolescents with orthopedic and musculoskeletal conditions, such as post-operative joint replacements, sports injuries, spine conditions, and general deconditioning. Some clinics may also see patients with neurologic or vestibular diagnoses appropriate to the outpatient setting. Visit volumes can be steady, and you will work closely with your supervising Physical Therapist to balance productivity expectations with quality care. Patient-to-therapist ratios are designed to allow for focused, individualized treatment sessions while maintaining clinic efficiency.Clinic operations typically follow daytime hours on weekdays, with some flexibility for early morning or early evening appointments based on patient demand. The environment emphasizes teamwork, with PTs, PTAs, and support staff collaborating closely to manage schedules, maintain the clinic space, and ensure a welcoming experience for patients.
