As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Visitor Screening in Albuquerque, NM , this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $23.05 / Hour

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel while carrying out access-control procedures, site-specific policies, and appropriate emergency response activities at an aerospace and defense location.
• Verify identities, credentials, authorizations, and access permissions for personnel and vehicles entering restricted areas, following established visitor-management and badging procedures.
• Monitor entry points, access-control systems, alarms, and related equipment; report irregularities, unauthorized-access attempts, and maintenance concerns according to site protocols.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, promptly notifying appropriate site contacts and emergency responders when required.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned entry points, facilities, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.

Minimum Requirements:

• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Possession of a guard card or license is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification are preferred.
• Possession of a state, county, or city-issued security-related license is preferred.
• Access control or badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
