Job Title: Machine Operator Trainee

Location: Porter, IN

Schedule: Second Shift M-F 3:00 pm-11:30 pm

Employment Type: Full-Time, Temp-to-Hire

Position Overview:

We are seeking a motivated and reliable Machine Operator Trainee to join a well-established manufacturing team in Porter, IN. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual looking to build a long-term career in production operations. No prior machine operation experience is required—just a strong work ethic, willingness to learn, and commitment to safety and quality.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist with the setup, operation, and monitoring of production machinery
Learn proper machine operation procedures under the guidance of senior operators
Perform basic adjustments and quality checks during production runs
Ensure products meet quality and safety standards
Maintain a clean and organized work area
Follow all company policies, safety guidelines, and production protocols
Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members regarding workflow, issues, or improvements

Qualifications:

Previous manufacturing or production experience is helpful but not required
Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs as needed
Strong mechanical aptitude and eagerness to learn new skills
Dependable, punctual, and committed to consistent attendance
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and follow detailed instructions
Must be able to pass required pre-employment screenings
