Doctor of Medicine | Psychiatry - General/Other Location: Newton, MA Employer: Lancesoft Inc Pay: Competitive weekly pay (inquire for details) Start Date: ASAP About the Position Job Title: Physician – Psychiatry (Locum Tenens) Start Date: June 2026 Contract Length: 13 Weeks (with potential extension) Schedule: Monday – Friday | 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM | No Call Position Overview We are seeking a Board-Certified Psychiatrist for a full-time locum opportunity in an inpatient behavioral health setting. This is a structured weekday role with no call responsibilities, offering a balanced schedule and strong interdisciplinary support. Work Details Practice Setting: Inpatient Psychiatry Unit Patient Population: Adults Average Daily Census: ~33 patients (provider sees ~8/day) Unit Size: 45 beds EMR: EPIC Clinical Scope Manage adult patients with conditions such as: Depression Bipolar Disorder Schizophrenia Anxiety Disorders Substance Use Disorders Personality Disorders Support & Environment Collaborative team including RNs, Mental Health Clinicians, Psychologists, Occupational Therapists, Social Workers, and Unit Coordinators Hospital-based inpatient setting with established workflows Requirements Board Certified in Psychiatry Active Massachusetts Medical License (required at time of submission) DEA required Minimum 1 year of experience Experience with EPIC EMR preferred Additional Details No call responsibilities Orientation provided Credentialing timeframe: ~90 days Preference for local or drive-in candidates (travel may be considered)
