Key Responsibilities Deliver specialized instruction tailored to the needs of students with dyslexia Participate in ongoing training and professional development in evidence-based dyslexia teaching methods Collaborate with colleagues, specialists, and families to support student progress Maintain detailed records of student assessments, progress, and instructional strategies Adapt curriculum and instructional materials to meet individual student needs Foster a positive, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment Skills and Qualifications Valid teaching certification in relevant grade levels or subject areas Experience or interest in working with students with learning differences, particularly dyslexia Strong understanding of evidence-based reading and language instruction practices Excellent communication and collaboration skills Ability to adapt teaching strategies to diverse learning needs Commitment to professional growth and continuous learning A strong desire to receive rigorous, ongoing professional training to deeply understand dyslexia and the effect of dyslexia on academic life An open‑minded attitude toward academic instruction, including a willingness to “work outside the box” of traditional instructional methods A willingness to receive and implement feedback regarding instructional practices Evidence of strong classroom management and organizational skills Willingness to participate in highly collaborative lesson planning and teaching situations Evidence of individualized, interactive teaching philosophy Highly preferred: Experience with special education Benefits Our school offers small class sizes, with a maximum of 18 students, allowing for personalized instruction and meaningful student‑teacher interactions.
