Tax Manager

Position Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Tax Manager to join our growing team. This is a hands-on role where you'll manage client engagements, review complex tax returns, mentor junior staff, and work directly with business owners and executives. The ideal candidate is a proactive professional who enjoys building long-term client relationships and thrives in a close-knit firm environment.

Key Responsibilities:
• Manage a diverse portfolio of business and individual tax clients
• Review and sign off on federal and state tax returns (1040, 1120, 1120S, 1065, 990, etc.)
• Provide strategic tax planning and compliance support to clients
• Oversee and mentor a team of staff and senior accountants
• Maintain client relationships and provide year-round advisory services
• Ensure deadlines are met and deliverables are of the highest quality
• Stay up-to-date on federal and state tax law changes and apply them proactively

Qualifications:
• CPA license required
• 6+ years of relevant public accounting tax experience
• Strong technical knowledge of federal and multi-state tax compliance
• Experience working with closely held businesses, partnerships, and high-net-worth individuals
• Excellent communication and client service skills
• Prior supervisory or management experience preferred
• Proficiency in tax software (e.g., ProSystem fx, CCH Axcess, or similar) and Microsoft Excel
