Emergency Department Nurse

We are seeking a dedicated Emergency Department Nurse to join our team in a fast-paced, 28-bed emergency department with an on-site Cath Lab. This role offers the opportunity to work in a Primary Stroke Center, utilizing virtual neurology services for stroke care.

Provide high-quality nursing care to patients in the emergency department.

Stabilize walk-in trauma patients prior to transfer to specialized facilities.

Assist in the care of pediatric patients and coordinate transfers to appropriate pediatric care facilities.

Utilize EPIC charting for patient documentation and care coordination.

28 beds with capacity for up to 6 hallway stretchers.

Average annual patient volume of approximately 38,000.

Nurse to patient ratio of 4-5 patients per nurse.

No on-call or floating responsibilities.

Weekend requirements: Every third weekend.

Holiday requirements: Every other holiday.

Minimum of 2 years of experience in an Emergency Department setting is preferred.

Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS.

Proficient in using B. Braun IV pumps, Point-of-Care lactic and glucometer devices, EKG machines, Philips monitors, bedside bladder scanners, and Ceribell rapid EEG devices.
