Job Summary

Provides direct patient care under the direction of the Clinical Manager. Working autonomously, the RN accepts responsibility and accountability for assigned patients as a case manager to plan and implement and evaluate the care for HBO, Wound Care, and Ostomy clients according to age-specific criteria The RN works within the State Practice Act and follows all Wound Care Center and hospital policies and procedures.

Job Qualifications

Education: Associates Degree in Nursing is required

Licensure: Current Georgia RN License in Good Standing BLS CPR required

Experience: Two years' experience in an acute care setting preferred. Ambulatory care experience desirable.

Skills: BLS certification required

Physical, Mental, Environmental and Working Conditions

Works in outpatient clinic and acute health care setting with adult, neonates, pediatric, adolescents and geriatric patients experiencing a wide range of wound and ostomy related medical problems. Requires full range of body motion including handling and lifting patients, manual and finger dexterity and eye-hand coordination. Requires standing and walking for extensive periods of time. Occasionally lifts and carries items up to 50 pounds. Requires corrected vision and hearing to normal range. Requires working under stressful conditions. Requires exposure to communicable diseases or body fluids.
