CAT CARE ATTENDANT AT OUR RIVERDALE BRONX ADOPTION CENTER. We need dedicated volunteers to help maintain a sanitary environment inside our cat adoption center. This includes cleaning cat spaces in a cat condo habitat, feeding/replenishing food and water, and changing cat litter. Experience with cats is required. Volunteers will sometimes interact with potential adopters. Volunteers for this position should be able to work independently, be self‑motivated, possess self‑initiative, be consistent, on time, and act professionally in a laid‑back environment. Experience with cats is important. Volunteering in teams of two is permitted. This is the most important function of our daily operations, vital for the health and well‑being of our adoptable cats and kittens. Volunteers who are reliable and can make a commitment to attend the same day and shift every week for at least six months will receive a strong letter of recommendation for their future endeavors. Volunteers should be committed to the aforementioned shifts for at least six months. We have morning and evening shifts available. We strongly recommend that you get a tetanus shot prior to volunteering as a safety precaution.
