School-Based Physical Therapist - Olympia, WA

Job Description Step into a rewarding contract position supporting students' growth and mobility in a school setting near Olympia, WA for the 2026-2027 school year! This part-time opportunity is ideal for a skilled Physical Therapist who thrives working in educational environments and is passionate about making a daily impact. Key Qualifications: Master's or Doctoral degree in Physical Therapy. Licensed or eligible for licensure as a Physical Therapist in Washington state. Previous experience in a school setting or with pediatric populations is highly desirable. Strong communication and collaborative skills to partner effectively with teachers, staff, and families. Commitment to in-person services (no remote or hybrid options available). Primary Responsibilities: Assess students to determine their functional abilities and develop individualized therapy plans. Provide direct physical therapy services for a caseload of 35-40 students, adapting techniques to each student’s unique needs and goals. Collaborate with educators, special education staff, and parents to support students' integrate into classroom and school activities. Document all services, progress and evaluations in accordance with school and state regulations. Support IEP meeting participation and development as a therapy team member. Offer guidance and resources to teachers and staff on strategies to encourage student participation and mobility. Position Details: Part-time: 7.5 hours per week, fitting well into an existing schedule or other part-time roles. Academic year calendar aligns with school holidays and breaks.
