Title: Looker Developer/SME

Location: Hybrid with 2-3days with strong preference for New York, NY/Philadelphia, PA/Los Angeles, CA.

Duration: 6-12 Months

Experience: 5+ years of hands-on Looker experience, with strong exposure across the complete reporting development lifecycle.

Key Requirements

• End-to-End Reporting Experience: Strong experience across the entire reporting development lifecycle, from requirements gathering and development through deployment and support.
• Looker Expertise: 5+ years of hands-on experience with Looker, preferably at an SME/Expert level.
• Migration Experience: Prior experience migrating reporting platforms, dashboards, or analytics solutions to/from Looker or across BI platforms.
• Strong SQL Skills: Advanced SQL expertise is required.
• Front-End Reporting Development: Hands-on experience developing reports and dashboards using Looker's front-end capabilities.
• Multi-Platform Experience: Experience working across multiple BI/reporting platforms is highly preferred.
• Domain Experience: Relevant industry/domain experience is strongly preferred.

Candidate Profile

We should prioritize candidates who have:

• Deep Looker expertise with 5+ years of experience.
• Strong SQL and hands-on reporting development capabilities.
• End-to-end ownership of reporting projects.
• Experience with platform/reporting migrations.
• Exposure to multiple BI platforms.
• Flexibility to work in a hybrid model, especially candidates in LA or PA .
• Relevant domain experience, where available.

Global Data & Analytics group is looking for a Senior BI Developer to help grow and refine our suite of Looker reporting products and bring actionable data and insights to life for a wide variety of business users.

How you'll create:

• Serve as the Looker (Core) technical SME during all stages of reporting product development, from requirement gathering, development, design, production launch, and QA.
• Ensure we're taking full advantage of Looker's feature set, from AI to custom BI development, to support a rapidly changing and growing global business.
• Collaborate with other key teams (Engineering, IT, Data Governance) to scrutinize business requirements, creatively solution for challenges, and build new reporting products.
• Continuously innovate and enhance our suite of tools to maintain a best-in-class service offering.
• Help drive adoption with business users through targeted support and relevant documentation.

Requirements:

• Minimum 5 years of direct experience in Looker Core/LookML development and management for business analytics/reporting products.
• Deep experience with DevOps best practices within the Looker suite.
• Knowledge of React JS, HTML, and CSS languages.
• Proficiency in SQL with proven ability to write complex queries to analyze data.
• Experience with mobile-first application design and best practices.
• Highly accustomed to using Microsoft Office Suite tools.
• Exceptionally detail-oriented with polished written and verbal communication skills.
• Be a critical thinker who values the importance of always putting data into the appropriate context.
• A seasoned team player, accustomed to managing multiple projects with separate clients and deadlines.
• Must love music!

Nice-to-haves:

• Experience with eCommerce and UI//UX best practices.
• Experience with paid media and CRM data/tools.
• Experience with Vue.js.
• Familiarity with Google Big Query.
• A background with Agile development/scrum frameworks.
