Job Title: General Production Worker Vehicle Detailer

Job Description

Clean and detail cars, trucks, and SUVs in a fast-paced production environment. This role includes washing vehicles, cleaning interiors, operating detailing equipment, and moving vehicles throughout the facility to ensure they meet quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Wash and detail vehicle exteriors and interiors.
• Vacuum, wipe down, and clean vehicle surfaces.
• Operate car wash and detailing equipment safely.
• Inspect completed vehicles for quality.
• Drive, park, and organize vehicles.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area..

Essential Skills

• Previous production, labor, or detailing experience preferred.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Comfortable using hand tools and equipment.
• Reliable attendance and punctuality.
• Valid driver's license and ability to drive vehicles.
• Ability to work overtime as needed.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with automotive detailing is preferred but not required.
• Experience in production, general labor, assembly, or inspection is beneficial.
• Willingness to learn new skills and obtain certifications after the first 90 days.
• Comfort working in an environment with seasonal temperature changes.

Work Environment

The role is based in an indoor car wash area with open bay doors, which means it can be hot in the summer and cold in the winter. The position follows a first-shift schedule, typically Monday through Friday from 6:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., with overtime sometimes extending the day until 5:00 p.m. and a usual cap at around 50 hours per week. Saturdays are generally avoided but may occasionally be required depending on workload. The environment is hands-on and production-oriented, involving regular use of cleaning tools, hand tools, and basic machinery, with structured breaks including two 15-minute breaks and a 1-hour lunch during the shift.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Cicero, NY.

The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $17.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
