Job Title Dishwasher – part time Department Food & Beverage Reports to Executive Chef Pay $16.00 per hour Location Jekyll Island Convention Center, a Legends Global managed facility Qualifications Must be able to work unsupervised Must have attention to detail Must have good oral communication skills Must be able to adapt to changes in the work environment, managing competing demands, frequent changes, delays or unexpected events Must be results driven, follow direction and ask questions for clarification if needed Must be compliant with health codes Must be able to work flexible hours Major Responsibilities The dish and general utility position is responsible for maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards for china, glassware, tableware, cooking utensils, etc., using machine and manual cleaning methods. The role also ensures the dishwashing area remains safe and sanitary. Essential Functions Sort and stack clean dishes Carry clean dishes to the cooking line and other storage areas Rewash soiled dishes before delivery Sort and rinse dirty dishes, glass, tableware and other utensils and prepare them for use in the kitchen Wash pots, pans and trays by hand Remove trash and garbage to the dumpster Set up or break down the dishwashing area Fill or empty the soaking tank with cleaning solutions Sweep and mop the floors Assemble or disassemble the dishwashing equipment Notify management if the dishwashing cycle falls below safety standards Work Environment This job operates in a kitchen environment. The role routinely uses sinks, dishwashers and other tools to clean kitchen appliances. Employees are frequently exposed to hot water, potentially slippery floors, garbage disposals and cleaning chemicals.
