Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Full-Time | 4x10-hour shifts with variable schedule and shared on-call rotation

Key Responsibilities

• Provide SSSU/PACU nursing care with float coverage across the entire Outpatient Services area, including Day Surgery, Endoscopy Lab, Post Anesthesia Care Unit, Pre-operative Clinic, and conscious sedation for special procedures
• Perform nursing assessments utilizing strong skills in Pre-operative, Post-operative, PACU, Phase II, Endoscopy, and Infusion care
• Deliver peri-operative education and care to patients throughout the continuum of outpatient surgical services
• Recognize and respond to post-anesthesia and post-operative complications in a timely and clinically appropriate manner
• Support hospital needs related to conscious sedation for special procedures as required

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license required
• Minimum of two years of SSSU, PACU, Pre-operative, or Post-operative nursing experience required
• Demonstrated proficiency in Pre, Post, PACU, Phase II, Endoscopy, and Infusion settings
• Ability to participate in a shared on-call rotation

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Charge nurse experience in a SSSU or PACU environment
• Experience floating across multiple outpatient surgical service areas
