Fleet / Warehouse Specialist

Material SpecialistAs a Material Specialist, you will focus on giving excellent service to our team members. You will be responsible for inventorying materials for our HVAC, Electrical, and Plumbing Departments within Milestone. We'll rely on you to ensure the appropriate materials are ready to be handed to a technician.Basic functions include:Creating purchase orders, requisitioning material, and reconciling shipping receiptsAnswering phone calls from techniciansLocating specialty partsKeeping track of serialized itemsHelping technicians at the front counterCreating end of day pick tickets and restock ordersVendor relationsProficient in and assisting with Shipping and Receiving TechnicianWillingness to help in any other areas neededMaintain a clean working environmentQualifications include:Strong customer service and communication skillsMust be at least 18 years of ageMust have a clean driving record and current valid driver licensePrevious maintenance experience preferredMust be able to comply with Company attendance standards as described in established guidelinesMust maintain a well-groomed appearance per Company appearance standards as described in established guidelines.Must meet confidentiality expectations as to confidential, proprietary, and sensitive Company informationMust be a U.S. citizen or have authorization to work in the United States as defined by the Immigration Reform Act of 1986Must be able to pass Drug Screen and Background CheckWork behaviors include:Must be able to effectively communicate with customers and team members.Must have mental skills such as critical thinking, problem-solving, and a technical vocabulary to understand directions and adhere to established practices.Must be willing to adapt well in the face of workplace stressors such as customer service complaints.Working conditions include:Must be able to lift and move items of 75 pounds and/or more regularly and repetitively lift weights of 40 to 50 pounds on raised surfacesMust be able to climb, bend, kneel, crawl, and stoop frequently for extended periodsMust be able to carry heavy items up and down stairsMust be able to work in extreme weather conditions including but not limited to extreme heat, rain, snow, or sleetMust use hands for repetitive movementWorking near othersProblem-solvingWritten and verbal communication skillsAbility to read and interpret text online or in print8 hour workdaysRotating shifts, overtime, weekend workMust be able to complete a Job Physical AssessmentBenefits/Perks include:Discount on company services for you, the employeeAmazing benefits: 401(k) match program, paid holidays, monthly massages, free monthly haircuts, quarterly company family meetings & many other fun activities
