Description

American Traveler is seeking a Certified Surgical Technologist proficient across multiple surgical specialties for a hospital operating room position.

Details

• Surgery unit within a hospital operating room setting
• Proficiency required in all specialties including total joint/trauma, neuro spine, vascular, and robotics
• 8-hour shifts from 10:30 AM to 7:00 PM, 40 hours per week

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED required
• Associate's/Technical degree or equivalent combination of education/experience preferred
• Scrub technician and operating room experience preferred
• Surgery Technician certification preferred, license required if applicable
• BLS certification required
• CNA certification preferred
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in specialty required, with 3 years preferred for OR
• Recent experience within the last 3 months in the submitted specialty required
• Cerner and Epic experience, if applicable, must be noted

Additional Information

• Prepare for surgical cases by checking required supplies and equipment in advance
• Assemble supplies and equipment prior to operative procedures and review specialty equipment inventory
• Set up and maintain a sterile field with careful attention to aseptic technique
• Complete instrument, sponge, needle, and blade counts with the RN per established standards
• Label solutions according to established standards
• Assist with cleaning equipment, housekeeping duties, and patient transport as needed
• Perform clerical duties and other job-related tasks as assigned
• Work within a Magnet-designated hospital system
• Required vaccinations are a condition of employment, with medical and religious exemptions considered
• Candidates with more than 5 days of requested time off will not be considered

• Local candidates accepted with no radius restriction, as local rates match travel rates
