Automotive Service Technician

Our car dealership team is rapidly expanding, and we are currently looking for a new automotive technician to join our service center. The ideal candidate will be eager to diagnose and facilitate automotive repairs using our automotive computer software and their electrical systems expertise. Responsibilities: • Use diagnostic equipment, technical expertise, and the vehicle’s integrated diagnostic systems to identify and determine the cause of malfunction codes • Establish processes for tracking diagnostics and system repairs, maintaining up-to-date manufacturer specifications, and more • Facilitate customer satisfaction and repeat business by following all manufacturer specifications for vehicle systems repairs • Clearly articulate automotive repair issues and repairs needed to remedy them to both customers and auto mechanics • Examine all vehicle systems such as the air conditioning, engine, transmission, and brake systems with a step-by-step approach • Perform routine automotive maintenance tasks, including oil changes, tire rotations, and filter replacements • Diagnose and repair issues with vehicles • Inspect and test automotive electrical systems for faults and malfunctions • Replace worn or damaged parts, such as shocks, struts, and suspension components • Perform scheduled vehicle maintenance services according to manufacturer guidelines • Keep accurate records of all repairs and maintenance performed Qualifications: • Strong customer service and communications skills are needed • ASE certification or comparable standard service technician credential, such as SAE, is attractive • Must have completed a post-secondary training program in automotive service technology; associate degree a plus • Possess a high school diploma or GED • Experience level: 3 years • Proven experience as an Automotive Technician or similar role • Strong mechanical knowledge and understanding of automotive systems • Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing vehicles • Familiarity with automotive electrical systems and troubleshooting techniques - Ability to use hand tools and diagnostic equipment effectively • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment • Strong communication skills to explain technical issues to customers • Strong willingness to work with others in a positive way Compensation: $25 - $45 hourly
