Tech - Cath Lab/EP

Job Description

Job Summary:
Provide specialized nursing care to patients undergoing cardiac catheterization procedures within a high-volume cath lab environment. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure safe, efficient, and effective treatment.

Responsibilities:

• Administer and monitor patient care during adult cardiac procedures such as left and right heart caths, TAVR, TMVR, and atherectomy.
• Operate and troubleshoot advanced equipment including Impella, IABP, OCT, IVUS, Shockwave, and other interventional tools.
• Titrate drips and support procedures independently, ensuring patient stability throughout interventions.
• Maintain accurate documentation in EMR systems and adhere to unit policies and protocols.
• Participate in on-call rotations, providing after-hours coverage as scheduled.
• Promote a positive, efficient work environment with a professional, easy-going attitude.

Qualifications:

• Valid RN license with current state licensure.
• Minimum of 2 years of critical care or cath lab experience.
• Demonstrated proficiency with Impella, IABP, and titrating drips independently.
• Certified in ACLS and possess strong procedural knowledge of adult cardiac interventions.
• Ability to work effectively within a fast-paced, high-pressure setting.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with a good sense of humor.
