Job Description

We are seeking a meticulous Quality Technician to join our team in a dynamic automotive environment. The role involves measuring components of parts to ensure machinery produces high-quality parts, pressure testing anti-vibration components, and verifying parts on the production line. Use of precision tools such as micrometers, calipers, gages, and torque testing equipment is essential.

Responsibilities

• Measure components of parts to ensure machinery produces good parts.
• Conduct pressure testing on parts for anti-vibration components.
• Verify parts on the production line, ensuring correct information is inputted.
• Utilize micrometers, calipers, gages, and torque testing equipment.
• Perform cut checking using a band saw or chop saw.

• Attention to detail is required.
• Proficiency in using micrometers, calipers, and gages.
• Experience with Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
• Ability to walk, stand, and be on the plant floor for 8-10 hours per day.

• Quality experience preferred in an automotive environment, particularly with steel or plastics.
• Experience in quality control, quality assurance, and quality inspection.

Work Environment

Work in a large automotive manufacturing facility with over 400 employees. Enjoy shift options with overtime availability, especially during busy periods. Training typically occurs during day shifts or hybrid schedules. The environment requires steel toe or composite toe footwear and attire such as long pants and t-shirts. The facility is well-lit with older machinery, and PPE is provided on-site.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Bluffton, OH.

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $19.00/hr.
