Infrastructure Technician

Infrastructure TechnicianAn immediate opening for a full-time, year-round position in the Information Technology department is available. As an Infrastructure Technician, you are responsible for providing technology and infrastructure support to Boyne Mountain Resort, Boyne Country Sports, and BOYNE reservations team members across all three properties. You will split your time between hands-on field work and helpdesk support, working independently to manage your daily workload. Primary location is Boyne Mountain Resort, with occasional travel to other BOYNE locations as needed. As a Boyne Mountain team member, there are so many awesome perks for you to take advantage of, such as: ski passes, golf passes, waterpark passes, and discounts for food, beverages, retail, daycare, and so much more!ResponsibilitiesIncluding but not limited to:Maintaining voice, data, and TV cabling infrastructure (indoor and outdoor); repairing or replacing defective wiring; installing and terminating wiring to support renovation, relocation, or new constructionProviding helpdesk support to resort team members — troubleshooting, logging, and resolving tickets in a timely mannerPerforming morning system checks on key resort technology including WiFi access points, Sonifi guest room systems across all three properties, digital marketing channels, and LED signageProviding support for guest room issues including but not limited to: TV, phone, and internetTroubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing or replacing various systems including: end user phones, TVs, printers, security cameras, digital signage, cell boosters, team member cell phones, digital music, speakers, RFID gates, ticket printers, and any other resort technologyPlanning and organizing daily and weekly workload independently — arriving prepared with the right tools and materials for each jobProviding current and new users with basic instruction and documenting solutions for both end user education and technical referencePerforming seasonal rotation of POS hardware and related equipment configurations; maintaining an inventory of tools and equipmentWorking on IT-related projects as directed by IT managementUsing vendor support to resolve difficult problemsDeveloping innovative ways to improve and/or streamline current processesMay be assigned additional tasks by supervisorQualificationsThis position may be for you if:You are at least 18 years old and have achieved a high school diploma or GEDYou possess a valid driver's licenseYou are self-motivated and take ownership of your work — you plan your day, show up prepared, and follow through without needing step-by-step directionYou take pride in doing jobs right the first time and hold yourself to a high standardYou have strong interpersonal and communication skills and work well with othersYou are comfortable with basic hand tools and have general troubleshooting instinctsAudio/video knowledge is a plus but not required — we will train the right personYou are available to work some nights, weekends, holidays, and occasional overtimeYou are able to work outdoors in all types of weather conditionsYou are able to regularly lift and/or move 10 pounds; frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds; and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, and use ladders as neededYou are able to occasionally travel to various BOYNE locations in Michigan
