Troubleshoot, install, maintain, and repair mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical/electronic equipment including programmable controls, numerical controls, power supplies, drives, motors, gearboxes, bearings, gauges and test equipment. Perform preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, repairing, adjusting and rebuilding on industrial production machinery and supporting equipment. Review and assist with the creation of the maintenance schedule, work instructions, work logs and other company information. Maintain electrical equipment to meet regulatory codes. Interpret safety and work instructions, both verbal and written, to understand required specifications. Inspect machinery to maintain specified parameters. Climb overhead structures, work beneath machines, in close quarters and hot areas while performing analysis and repair work. Operate mobile equipment such as forklift, skid‑steer loader, shop crane, scissor lift and articulating man lift as required. Requirements Must be able to read and interpret mechanical and electrical drawings and blueprints. Basic understanding and ability to troubleshoot general mechanical systems such as hydraulics, pneumatics, rotating assemblies (bearings, couplings, gears, gear trains, chains, sprockets, brakes, clutches, belts and pulleys). Experience troubleshooting and rebuilding various types of pumps such as centrifugal, diaphragm and piston pumps. Use precision measurement tools including calipers, micrometers and dial indicators. Experience with 13.2 V DC transformers from 12 V to 1200 V and 480 VAC. Knowledge of Control Logix, Allen Bradley, Automax, Automate and Modicon controllers. Use of Fluke 289 multimeter, ohmmeters, voltmeters and oscilloscopes. Knowledge of AC and reliance DC drives. Knowledge of Red Lion controls preferred. Experience replacing motor brushes on 1600 hp DC motors down to 5 hp. Knowledge of gas burners is essential. Advanced mechanical and electrical knowledge, ability and aptitude. Ability to analyze and execute problem‑solving techniques. Works well in a team setting and is a self‑starter capable of multitasking. Basic computer skills.
