Student Success Coach, Alpha - $150,000/year USD

Alpha School leverages AI-driven 1:1 instruction, enabling students to complete core academics in roughly two hours daily. The remaining time is dedicated to life skills, interest-based projects, and authentic development. At our most demanding campuses, students require more than oversight. They need a credible mentor capable of assessing dynamics, establishing expectations, and guiding them through resistance, lack of focus, and uncertainty. This is not conventional classroom teaching. You won't deliver lectures, assign grades, or develop lesson plans. You will coach. You will facilitate demanding life-skills sessions. You will analyze data to identify what limits a student's progress, then guide with precision and empathy until they execute. What You Will Be Doing Facilitate 1:1 and small-group coaching conversations that convert student objectives into reliable action and trackable outcomes Leverage analytics and individual goals to identify obstacles and design ambitious, personalized motivation strategies Execute high-rigor life-skills workshops through authentic narrative, guided reflection, and practical application, followed by competency evaluation Direct daily opening routines that establish culture, uphold demanding expectations, and prepare students before work begins Build dependable mentoring relationships with students and families grounded in elevated standards, reliability, and thoughtful discernment What You Won’t Be Doing Conduct classes, present lectures, or provide tutoring in a conventional instructor capacity Develop curriculum, construct lesson frameworks, or evaluate academic assignments Supervise staff, oversee campus functions, or assume administrative leadership responsibilities Compromise standards to achieve immediate compliance or superficial progress Student Success Coach Key Responsibilities This position is designed to ensure students at Alpha's most rigorous campuses maintain strong motivation and attain continuous progress and life-skill proficiency through elite, standards-driven coaching. Working with us This is a full-time (40 hours per week), long-term position. The position is immediately available and requires entering into an independent contractor agreement with Crossover as a Contractor of Record.
