Warehouse Associate - 2nd or 3rd Shift - Pay up to $26/hr

Job Description:

We are seeking a dedicated Warehouse Associate to join our team. You will be responsible for pulling sheet, plate, and metal bars from inventory, operating forklifts and sideloaders to move materials throughout the warehouse, and inspecting and measuring materials using micrometers, calipers, and tape measures. Additionally, you will stage materials for the third shift team, accurately count and weigh materials, and utilize Excel for tracking inventory.

Responsibilities:

• Pull sheet, plate, and metal bars from inventory.

• Operate forklift and sideloader to move materials throughout the warehouse.

• Inspect and measure material using micrometers, calipers, and tape measure.

• Stage material for the third shift team to prepare for shipment.

• Accurately count and weigh materials.

• Utilize Excel and work on a computer to track inventory.

• Stage orders in appropriate shipping and loading zones for delivery.

• Load orders onto trucks for next day delivery.

• Prepare orders for shipment using strapping equipment and apply appropriate shipping labels.

Essential Skills:

• Ability to perform tasks on a computer, including Microsoft Excel and logging/tracking orders.

• Comfortable with moving large objects using a forklift.

• Open to cross-training and learning multiple jobs within the warehouse.

• Experience with ERP systems, pallet jacks, order picking, packing, kitting, and cycle counts.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

• Must be able to lift up to 70 lbs, with assistance from cranes or partner lifts as needed.

• At least two years of previous warehouse experience required.

• At least two years of forklift operating experience required.

• Must be able to complete job tasks with a safety mindset.

• Must have a high school diploma or GED.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of North Canton, OH.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.29 - $26.31/hr.
