Are you a proactive procurement professional with expertise in purchasing, vendor relations, and contract analysis? We are seeking an experienced Senior Buyer to join our team in Chicago, IL! In this high-impact hybrid role, you will play a critical part in securing essential goods and services, driving strategic sourcing initiatives, and optimizing quality at competitive costs.

Working 3 days on-site and 2 days remotely, you will manage end-to-end purchasing workflows using advanced systems like Oracle Cloud. You will be the primary point of contact for vendor negotiations, requisition approvals, RFQ analysis for major orders, and resolving complex purchasing queries. Responsibilities

Position Summary:

Manage the procurement of non-contracted and special-order goods and services while maintaining optimum quality and cost efficiency. Oversee purchase order processing, vendor file auditing, and system updates within Oracle Cloud.

Key Responsibilities:

• Source and process purchase requisitions to purchase orders using Oracle Cloud.
• Prepare, submit, and analyze RFQs for non-contracted goods exceeding $250K.
• Interview vendors, secure bids, and analyze quotes to select appropriate suppliers.
• Research and resolve Help Desk tickets related to Oracle Cloud purchasing modules.
• Audit vendor files continuously for duplicate entries and sanction compliance.
• Support strategic sourcing initiatives and diversity vendor relationship goals (MWBE).
• Resolve order issues including pricing changes, late deliveries, and poor quality.

Requirements:

• High School Diploma or GED required (Bachelor's degree preferred).
• 3+ years of experience processing purchase requisitions, purchase orders, and bids.
• strong knowledge of purchasing procedures and contract negotiations.
• Proficiency with automated purchasing systems (Oracle Cloud experience preferred).
• strong analytical, Word, Excel, and communication skills.
