Duties Assists in developing and implementing the mission, vision, values, philosophy, goals, objectives, policies, and standards for Nursing Service. Oversee nursing operations in the absence of the DON and D-DON, ensuring continuity of care and management. Directly responsible for the supervision, leadership, and evaluation of the nursing team (including Head Nurses/Charge Nurses, RNs, LPNs, and CNAs), and for coordinating the completion of employee performance evaluations according to established criteria. Participates in planning, coordinating, and evaluating nursing services, taking appropriate corrective actions, and communicating relevant information and problems to the Deputy/Associate Director of Nursing. Conducts regular meetings with Head Nurses/Charge Nurses and clinical staff, performs unit rounds, manages unit dashboards, observes staff performance according to established criteria, evaluates nursing care practices and procedures, and takes appropriate corrective actions.
