Key Responsibilities\nAs a Mental Health Therapist, your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

- Conducting comprehensive trauma-informed assessments to evaluate patients’ trauma histories, strengths, and barriers to recovery. \n
- Designing and implementing personalized treatment plans aimed at trauma recovery and resilience, adapting strategies to meet evolving patient needs. \n
- Administering evidence-based therapeutic modalities, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), to support the healing process. \n
- Facilitating both individual and group therapy sessions, creating a supportive space for patients to process experiences, develop coping mechanisms, and foster interpersonal connections. \n
- Collaborating with psychiatrists and other allied health professionals to provide integrated and holistic care for each patient. \n
- Responding to crises with an effective intervention strategy, ensuring immediate support during emergencies or acute situations. \n
- Providing education and resources to patients and families about trauma responses, effective coping strategies, and community support options. \n
- Maintaining precise and confidential documentation in compliance with applicable legal and ethical standards, utilizing electronic health record (EHR) systems efficiently. \n
- Engaging in continuous professional development activities, including case consultations and team meetings focused on the advancement of trauma-informed practices. \n
- Staying informed about the latest research in trauma therapy to incorporate best practices into therapy processes. \n
Your primary focus will be supporting individuals who have experienced various forms of trauma, including childhood abuse, domestic violence, and combat-related stress. We serve a diverse clientele, including adults and adolescents, often facing complex mental health issues arising from their trauma histories. This role necessitates a compassionate approach, where understanding and empathy are paramount to fostering trust and healing.
Qualifications\nTo thrive in this position, the following qualifications are essential:

- Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution. \n
- Valid licensure in Texas as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT. \n
- A minimum of 2 years of post-licensure experience in a mental health setting is preferred. \n
- Strong understanding of trauma-related disorders and a repertoire of trauma-informed treatment modalities. \n
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, characterized by a compassionate and non-judgmental attitude. \n
- Proficient in electronic health record (EHR) systems to manage patient documentation and treatment plans efficiently. \n
