Location: Leeds, AL (Relocation Assistance May Be Considered) Salary Range: $67,000 - $85,000 + Overtime Eligibility Job Summary MS Companies is partnering with a leading Fortune 500 manufacturing organization to identify an experienced Production Scheduler for a critical direct-hire opportunity supporting manufacturing operations in the Leeds, Alabama area. This role is responsible for developing, maintaining, and optimizing production schedules that align customer demand, material availability, inventory accuracy, manufacturing capacity, and production execution. The Production Scheduler serves as a key link between Materials, Production, Purchasing, Inventory Control, Customer Service, and Operations to drive schedule attainment and on-time customer delivery. The ideal candidate will bring direct manufacturing production scheduling experience and advanced SAP ERP experience, including hands‑on utilization of production orders, Material Requirements Planning (MRP), inventory management functionality, planning screens, ERP transaction screens, and SAP T‑Codes used to support manufacturing scheduling activities. Success in this role is measured by schedule attainment, inventory accuracy, backlog management, capacity utilization, and on-time customer delivery performance. This position requires a strong balance of analytical planning and operational engagement, with regular time spent both in SAP and on the manufacturing floor supporting production execution. This is a manufacturing production scheduling role. Candidates whose experience is primarily focused on transportation planning, logistics coordination, route planning, warehouse scheduling, military logistics, or distribution operations without direct manufacturing production scheduling responsibility are unlikely to be successful in this position. Required Skills & Qualifications Minimum 3 years of Production Scheduling, Production Planning, Materials Planning, Master Scheduling, or related manufacturing planning experience Ability to discuss SAP T-Codes, ERP transaction screens, and manufacturing planning activities within SAP Experience creating, releasing, monitoring, and managing Production Orders within SAP or a comparable ERP system Strong understanding of: Production Scheduling Capacity Planning Material Requirements Planning (MRP) Inventory Accuracy Material Availability Production Workflow Management Schedule Adherence On-Time Delivery (OTD) Production Performance Metrics Advanced Microsoft Excel proficiency, including reporting, analysis, forecasting, and schedule management Strong analytical, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship Preferred Skills & Qualifications Experience utilizing SAP manufacturing functionality, including: Inventory Management (IM) Production Orders Material Requirements Planning (MRP) Capacity Planning Inventory Accuracy & Material Availability Management Experience supporting high-volume, high-mix, discrete, industrial, automotive, metals, fabrication, or electrical products manufacturing environments Experience managing schedules across multiple production lines, work centers, or manufacturing areas Experience improving schedule adherence, inventory accuracy, line efficiency, throughput, or customer delivery performance APICS CPIM certification or similar supply chain certification Continuous Improvement, Lean Manufacturing, or Operational Excellence exposure Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain, Business, Operations Management, Engineering, or a related field Day-to-Day Responsibilities Develop, maintain, and continuously optimize production schedules based upon customer demand, material availability, inventory levels, and manufacturing capacity Create, release, monitor, and manage Production Orders within SAP Utilize SAP T-Codes and ERP transaction screens to support production scheduling, inventory management, MRP, and planning activities Monitor production performance and adjust schedules to address changing priorities, delays, bottlenecks, shortages, inventory concerns, or capacity constraints Track backlog, schedule attainment, inventory accuracy, material flow, and workflow across assigned production areas Coordinate closely with Production, Materials, Purchasing, Inventory Control, Customer Service, Engineering, and Operations teams Support inventory accuracy initiatives and resolve planning discrepancies impacting production performance Communicate scheduling risks, production impacts, and recovery plans to leadership and cross-functional stakeholders Analyze production, inventory, and planning data to improve operational performance and scheduling effectiveness Maintain a visible presence on the production floor while balancing planning and scheduling activities within SAP Support company objectives related to schedule attainment, inventory accuracy, backlog reduction, and on‑time customer delivery Physical & Environment Requirements Office environment located within a manufacturing facility Frequent interaction with production personnel and manufacturing leadership Regular walking and engagement on the production floor Ability to sit, stand, and work at a computer for extended periods Occasional overtime required to support operational needs Company Benefits & Culture Competitive salary range of $67,000 - $85,000 Salaried Non-Exempt position with overtime eligibility at 1.5x over 40 hours Medical, Dental, and Vision coverage FSA/HSA options with employer contribution Voluntary life, disability, and pet insurance programs Stable manufacturing environment with long-term career growth opportunities Opportunity to directly impact production performance, inventory accuracy, schedule attainment, operational efficiency, and customer satisfaction #J-18808-Ljbffr
