Quality & Compliance Advisor

Responsible for the timely review/corrections to entries that are submitted to US Customs/Government Agencies for entry of goods; to ensure that all customer and regulatory requirements are met. To complete and assign work specific activities to team members and provide direction, guidance and training as needed. Provide impeccable customer service Act as subject matter experts to provide guidance, education and answer questions to staff. Lead and oversee team members ensuring timely and effective processing of shipments. Run daily and monthly ad hoc reporting as requested and analyze results to identify trends or issues and escalate to mangement. Review and identify process improvements. Participate/present in cross departmental meetings. Update Manager on staff performance and identify any challenges with productivity. Train team members as needed. Obtain correct classification of goods for customs release from database, SOP's, tariff book, internet or customs. Solicit and maintain all customs compliance documentation with customers. Must be able to handle confidential and/or sensitive information. Work closely with other internal staff, departments, executive level management, customers and government agencies to deliver high level of service to customers. Review customs entries for accuracy and re-process with corrections if required. This includes customs requirements, other agencies requirements and customer requirements. Review and corrects ABI errors and census warnings. Ensure all government and organizational policies are followed. Conduct random reviews of customs documents, party profiles, and company procedures within the company for accuracy and to ensure compliance. Follow up on Customs matters and resolve problems. Create a referral to document the corrections to ensure education and complianceto reduce future errors. Performs other duties as assigned Minimum Education HS Diploma/GED required. Minimum Experience Three (3) years QA experience required OR 1 year experience in a position of leadership in the brokerage industry required. Demonstrated experience providing leadership, coaching, training, or operational guidance to employees. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Outlook, and standard office equipment. Strong knowledge of customs regulations, tariff classification principles, and brokerage operations. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, high-volume environment. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality and compliance. Ability to effectively collaborate across departments and levels of the organization. If this opportunity includes multiple job levels, the range is a reasonable estimate of the currentstarting salary for the lowest level to the current starting salary of the highest level. Actual starting pay would be determined by experience relative to the job, market level, pay at the location for this job and other job-related factorspermitted by law.
