Job Summary:
Medical Surgical Nurse (MS) The healthcare provider seeks a qualified medical surgical nurse for a unit specializing in general patient care. The position involves providing high-quality nursing care across various medical and surgical units, with a focus on patient safety, clinical excellence, and teamwork in a fast-paced environment.

Job Details:

• Schedule: 12-hour night shifts (scheduled from 1845 to 0715), 36 hours per week following initial orientation.
• Required Qualifications: Valid Hawaii nursing license obtained prior to start date; 0+ years of experience; certifications including BLS and ACLS (preferred: PALS, Procedural Sedation, TNCC, ENPC); has or is willing to obtain Hawaii license upon acceptance.
• Additional Information: Must arrive on the Thursday prior to start date for employee health appointment scheduled on the following Friday.
• Responsibilities: Flexibility to float between various medical and surgical units including Medical, Laulima, and occasionally Cardiovascular; operate units utilizing Meditech electronic medical records, Pyxis medication dispensing system, wound vacs, and chest tubes; adhere to professional nursing attire and unit-specific training.
• Unit Information: Medical unit with 77 beds, Laulima surgical acute unit with 18 beds, and Cardiovascular unit with 15 beds; patient-to-nurse ratios are 1:6 for day and evening shifts, 1:8 for nights in the Medical unit; 1:6 in Laulima, and 1:4 in Cardiovascular.
• Orientation: Provided for each unit as part of initial training.
