Construction Superintendent

Job Title: Commercial & Hospitality Construction Superintendent Company: Parkwest General Contractors Position Overview: Parkwest General Contractors is seeking a seasoned Construction Superintendent with a strong background in Commercial Construction and Hotel/Hospitality projects. The Project Superintendent is the face of Parkwest General Contractors and is expected to conduct themselves is a professional and respectful manner with clients and their respective, coworkers, suppliers and subcontractors. As the primary field leader, the Superintendent serves as the on-site face of the company, managing daily site operations, maintaining quality standards, and ensuring projects are delivered safely, on schedule, and aligned with design specifications. The job duties of the Project Superintendent vary by the nature of the project and can be modified as determined by Parkwest General Contractors management. The Project Superintendent is expected to meet at a minimum and not limited to the Duties and responsibilities listed below. Core Responsibilities: Site Leadership & Professional Conduct: Serve as the primary on-site representative for Parkwest, fostering collaborative, professional relationships with clients, architects, project managers, trade partners, and field crews. Schedule & Operations Management: Partner with the Project Manager to build, refine, and execute comprehensive project schedules and look-ahead plans. Manage trade sequencing, establish daily jobsite logistics, and proactively resolve site conflicts. Subcontractor & Trade Coordination: Direct daily field activities across all trades and subcontractors. Lead weekly coordination meetings and inspect ongoing work to verify compliance with construction documents and quality standards. Safety & Compliance : Enforce jobsite safety policies, conduct regular safety briefings, and ensure full compliance with regulatory standards to maintain a safe, clean working environment. Quality Assurance & Documentation: Perform rigorous inspections of work in progress. Maintain complete and detailed daily jobsite logs, including written status reports and photo documentation. Material & Cost Management: Track jobsite materials, verify deliveries against schedules, and protect site assets against loss or damage. RFI & Change Administration: Assist the Project Manager in identifying potential scope changes, gathering field data for RFIs, and tracking change requests. (Note: All binding financial commitments and change order approvals remain under the sole authority of the Project Manager). Project Closeout & Punch List: Drive project completion by executing punch lists, assisting with field support when necessary, and securing necessary closeout documentation from subcontractors. Qualifications: Experience: Minimum 5-8+ years of field leadership experience as a Construction Superintendent, with a strong focus on Commercial and Hospitality projects (tenant improvements/renovations). Software & Tech Skills: Procore: Daily logs, RFIs, submittals, punch lists, and drawing management. Bluebeam Revu: Plan reviews, markups, takeoffs, and field overlay tools. MS Project: Schedule tracking, baseline management, and look-ahead updates. MS Office Suite: Word, Excel, and Outlook for daily reporting and team communications. Strong proficiency in reading construction drawings, managing trade workflows, and implementing jobsite safety controls. Certifications: OSHA 30-Hour certification preferred; First Aid/CPR required.
