ASSISTANT CITY SECRETARY

JOB DEFINITION
Under the general administrative direction of the City Secretary, the incumbent holds journeyman responsibility for completing complex secretarial and clerical work required to support the activities of the City Secretary’s office, staff the City Secretary’s office in the absence of the City Secretary, assist with all other duties of the City Secretary including work with elections, Municipal Court, help maintain official City records, help administer the Agenda and Packet Management System, assist with Open Records Requests/Public Information Act and records management, and perform other related work as assigned by the City Secretary.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
High School Diploma or GED equivalent, including or supplemented by courses in secretarial science and two (2) years of responsible secretarial and general clerical experience involving use of a computer and basic software applications.
