Role Summary We are seeking a Liability Claims Team Lead for the General Liability & Bodily Injury team, responsible for supervising examiners and technical staff, overseeing claim adjudication, ensuring quality and compliance, and maintaining strong client relationships. Key Responsibilities Supervise multiple teams of examiners and technical staff for general liability & Bodily Injury claims. Monitor colleagues' workloads, provide training, and oversee individual claim activities. Provide technical/jurisdictional direction for examiner reports on claims adjudication. Maintain a diary of claims, including frequent diaries on complex or high exposure claims. Identify and advise management on trends, problems, and issues; recommend continuous process improvements. Coordinate with management on office projects. Perform quality reviews on claims in compliance with audit requirements and service contract requirements. Act as second‑level appeal authority for client and claimant issues regarding claim‑specific, procedural, or special requests. Review reserve amounts on high‑cost claims and claims over the authority of individual examiners. Maintain contacts with clients, promote professional relationships, and provide written updates on claim status. Ensure direct reports hold necessary jurisdictional licenses and that claims files are coded correctly with adequate documentation. Administer company personnel policies, follow staffing standards, and provide guidance, leadership, and motivation to promote maximum performance. Qualifications Six (6) years of claims experience (or equivalent education and experience), including at least two (2) years as a claims supervisor. High School Diploma or GED required; bachelor’s degree preferred. Licensing: Nationwide licensing required; Texas preferred. Professional certification in line of business preferred. Compensation range: $688 - $98K (subject to location and experience). Work Location Hybrid if within commutable distance to Blue Ash, OH office; remote if outside commutable distance.
