Job Description
Exciting Opportunity for Oncology RN in Bone Marrow Transplant Unit!

Job Description:


- Location: San Antonio, TX
- Unit: Bone Marrow Transplant (BMT)
- Classification: RN - Oncology
- Shift Details: 7A-7:30P / 7P-7:30A
- Assignment Length: 13 weeks
- Guaranteed Hours: 36 Hrs.

Essential Qualifications:
- Must have current BLS certification
- Minimum 2 years of experience in nursing
- REQUIRED: Oncology and Cancer experience
- Proficient with Medipports, PICCs, and Central Lines

Preferred Skills:
- Chemotherapy Certification (preferred but not required)

Unit Specifics:
- Documentation System: Meditech
- Floating Policy: As needed for patient care

Responsibilities Include:
- Administering chemotherapy
- Performing CHG Baths, including central line maintenance and dressings
- Accessing central lines and mediports for lab draws

Dress Code:
- Scrub Color: Navy scrubs
- Nail Policy: Clean and healthy
- Hair: Neat and clean; no extreme styles/colors
- Facial Hair: Beards, mustaches, and sideburns should be clean and neatly trimmed
- Tattoos: Must be covered whenever possible
- Piercings: No visible piercings other than ears
