HR generalist/Payroll Coordinator

Job Title: HR Generalist / Payroll Coordinator Location: Mesa, AZ Employment Type: Temp to Hire Industry: Industrial Manufacturing Compensation: $28-$34/hr DOE Schedule: Monday-Friday 8am-5pm About the Opportunity Our client, a growing manufacturing company in Mesa, Arizona, seeks a detail-oriented HR Generalist / Payroll Coordinator to support daily HR operations and payroll administration in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. What You'll Do Process weekly and/or bi-weekly payroll accurately and in a timely manner for hourly and salaried employees Maintain payroll records, timekeeping systems, and employee data while ensuring compliance with company policies and labor regulations Assist with onboarding, orientation, new hire paperwork, and employee file maintenance Support recruitment efforts including scheduling interviews, coordinating candidate communications, and processing employment documentation Administer employee benefits enrollment, changes, and general employee inquiries Track attendance, PTO, leaves of absence, and employee status changes Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and company policies Partner with supervisors and management to support employee relations and HR initiatives Assist with audits, reporting, and HR/payroll documentation as needed Maintain confidentiality of sensitive employee and payroll information Support safety initiatives and HR programs within a manufacturing environment Perform additional administrative and HR-related duties as assigned What You'll Bring High School Diploma or GED required Minimum of 5 years of experience as an HR Generalist Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Payroll Coordinator or payroll processing role What Sets You Apart Experience working in a manufacturing, industrial, or production environment Strong knowledge of payroll processing, HR policies, and employment regulations Hands‑on experience with HRIS systems and payroll software Strong organizational skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a team‑focused mindset Proven ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with professionalism Benefits Supportive, team-driven culture that values collaboration, transparency, and accountability Opportunity to grow within a global workforce solutions leader serving multiple industries People‑first environment that encourages employees to bring their authentic selves to work Strong focus on partnership, innovation, and delivering meaningful results for clients and candidates EEO Statement Acara (Aleron companies, including Acara Solutions, Aleron Shared Resources, Broadleaf Results, Lume Strategies, TalentRise, and Viaduct) is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
