LTAC/Telemetry Registered Nurse

The LTAC/Telemetry Registered Nurse is accountable for providing exceptional patient care by utilizing the Nursing Process in alignment with the state Nurse Practice Act and hospital policies. The Registered Nurse demonstrates critical thinking skills, scientific judgment, and leadership in preparing for the safe delivery of care. Additionally, the RN maintains clinical competencies through ongoing education and delegates patient care priorities based on the education and experience of available staff while providing direction and supervision for those delivering patient care.

Responsibilities

• Utilize the Nursing Process to provide comprehensive care to patients.
• Demonstrate critical thinking and scientific judgment in patient care planning.
• Maintain clinical competencies through continuing education.
• Delegate patient care priorities commensurate with team members' education and experience.
• Provide direction and supervision to personnel delivering patient care.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Must hold current ACLS & BLS certifications through the American Heart Association.
• Vent/trach experience and knowledge of central lines are required.
• Preferred wound care experience.
• A valid Florida RN or multi-state compact RN license is required.

Schedule

This position operates on a schedule from 07:00 to 19:00.

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.
